How to change a tire

Truck tyre changer T568 steps to change a tire, the following is the operation process:

Tire changer S-T568
Preparation

  • Check the equipment: Check whether the tire changer is in normal working condition, whether the power connection is stable, whether the air pressure is within the specified range (usually the air pressure needs to reach 0.8 - 1.0MPa), whether there is enough lubricating oil at each lubrication point, and whether each component is damaged or loose.
  • Prepare tools and materials: Prepare suitable tire levers, valve core removal tools, tire lubricants, etc.
  • Parking: Park the vehicle on a flat and solid ground, pull up the handbrake, start the warning lights, and place triangular warning signs in front and behind the vehicle to ensure safety during operation. If you are changing a car tire, you also need to use a jack to lift the side of the vehicle where the tire needs to be replaced, so that the tire is a certain distance away from the ground for subsequent operations.

Remove the old tire

  1. Remove the valve core: Use the valve core removal tool to unscrew the valve core of the tire and completely release the gas in the tire.
  2. Fix the tire: Place the tire flat on the workbench of the tire changer, and fix the tire firmly on the workbench by adjusting the clamping device of the workbench to ensure that the tire does not shake during the removal process.
  • Separate the tire from the wheel hub
1.Lower the tire pressing rod of the tire changer so that it presses on the sidewall of the tire. By rotating the workbench, the tire pressing rod rolls along the circumference of the tire to initially separate the tire from the wheel hub.
2.Use the tire prying shovel of the tire changer to insert it into the gap between the tire and the wheel hub, and rotate the workbench at the same time so that the tire prying shovel gradually pries the tire from the wheel hub until one side of the tire is completely separated from the wheel hub.
3.Turn the tire over and separate the other side of the tire from the wheel hub in the same way.

Install the new tire

  • Cleaning the wheel hub: Use a brush or other tool to clean the surface of the wheel hub to remove dirt, rust and other impurities, and ensure that the surface of the wheel hub is clean and flat.
  • Apply lubricant: Apply an appropriate amount of tire lubricant evenly on the bead and edge of the wheel hub of the new tire to reduce friction during installation and facilitate smooth installation of the tire on the wheel hub.
  • Install the tire to the wheel hub
    1. Place one side of the tire bead on the wheel hub and align the tire valve with the valve hole on the wheel hub.
    2. Use the auxiliary arm of the tire changer to gradually press the tire bead into the wheel hub, and slowly rotate the workbench to gradually install the tire bead along the circumference of the wheel hub.
    3. When one side of the tire bead is fully installed on the wheel hub, turn the tire over and install the other side of the tire bead on the wheel hub in the same way.
  • Inflation: After installing the valve core, use the inflation device to inflate the tire. When inflating, pay attention to inflate according to the air pressure standard marked on the tire. Generally, the air pressure of automobile tires is between 2.2-2.5MPa. During the inflation process, check the tire pressure and appearance at any time to ensure that the tire is evenly inflated and there are no abnormalities such as bulges.

Finishing work

  • Check the installation of the tire: Check whether the tire is firmly installed, whether the bead fits the wheel hub completely, and whether the valve is installed correctly and there is no leakage.
  • Remove the tire fixing device: Loosen the clamping device on the tire changer workbench and remove the wheel hub with the replaced tire from the workbench.
  • Install the tire to the vehicle: If the vehicle was previously lifted up with a jack, install the replaced tire on the vehicle at this time and tighten the tire bolts diagonally, but do not tighten them completely.
  • Lower the vehicle: Slowly lower the jack to return the vehicle to the ground, then use the tire wrench to tighten the tire bolts again according to the specified torque to ensure that the tire is firmly installed.
  • Clean up the site: Clean up the debris and lubricants on the workbench, return the tools to their original positions, and keep the work site clean.
